Description

(Synopsis) Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) is a 12-year-old living in Detroit when his mom Sherry (Taraji Henson) gets a career in China. Once in China, Dre misses property and wants to go back towards the US. His mom tells him that China is property now, and he need to find out to accept his new residence. Dre starts to like China when he falls for his classmate Mei Ying (Wenwen Han).
Dre\\\’s feelings for Mei Ying are noticed by Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) the class bully who is out to stop it. Cheng puts Dre for the ground with ease applying his Kung Fu training. Based on a true story. In 1957 a rag-tag, shoeless, poor group of kids from Monterrey, Mexico shocked the world by winning 13 games in a row and the Little League World Series in the only perfect game ever pitched in the Championship. These kids, led by their priest and a down-and-out former major leaguer embark on a journey through the southern US and up into Williamsport, PA for the Championship game. They encountered many adversities including nearly being deported and the bigotry that wouldn’t allow them into certain restaurants or travel on certain buses. They never lost their faith and eventually captured the hearts of both nations. Teenager Michael Oher is surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy. Learning that the young man is one of her daughter’s classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael–wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter–come out of the cold. Without a moment’s hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds.
